The leather on this model is semi aniline. This means that the leather is colored thru and thru and does possess a light coat of polyurethane finish on the surface of the leather.  The most common household stains can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap if addressed within minutes of the spill, spot or stain. The grain texture on this leather is DISTRESSED and ANTIQUED. This leather is designed and marketed to resemble an OLD WORLD, DISTRESSED look. You will notice some color variations and grain variations between each piece and sometimes within the same piece. These are natural characteristics and should not be considered unusual.
